Common Trolls – The Extended Play
The first in a series of CT compilations…
An EP, short for Extended Play is a recording of music, which contains more than a single, but is too short to qualify as an album or LP. The term originally only referred to 7” vinyl records other than 78 rpm but is now applied to mid-length CD’s and music downloads.
The Extended Play is the first compilation presented by Common Trolls Records. Featuring the aural delights and an introduction to Electro-funk outfit, Daktal.
Providing a peculiar, experimental sample heavy, glitch hop tune ‘Love in a Cold Climate’ in similar vein with Mr Oizo’s Analogue Worms Attack circa 1998 are Australia’s pin-up boys of Electro, Trumpdisco.
Airwolf adds his signature warmth to the package with nu-disco summer-punch track ‘Rebels’ before Jasper’s sound continues to evolve pushing fidget house breakdowns through a chopped up percussion club track.
Edition one of Common Trolls’ The Extended Play is a blend of warm disco sounds infused with elements of a darker more experimental sound that is sure to leave oneself, at very least, itching with curiosity.
